Any ideas for 3 hours at DMK ?

We have 3 hours (excluding check in time) between flights at DMK in Bangkok.
It is late afternoon on a Thursday.

I recall there's not many options at the airport itself.

Is there somewhere nearby we could find a snack and a drink ?

The airport website shows several food stalls and restaurants. http://www.donmueangairportthai.com/en/603-restaurants
This airport is said (by Wikipedia) to have passed its 100th birthday, and inevitably was pushed to the side by the big international terminal. I'd have a Singha beer. Then some pad Thai. Then another Singha. Sorry, doesn't sound very exciting.

I am at dmk at the moment. It is dire! I agree with Southampton. Singha - lots of it!

Alternatively, there is the Amari hotel accross the road. I think it may rent rooms by the hour..

Thank you both.
I kinda knew how dire it is, and I've stayed at the Amari overnight once...it's almost direr.
Singha aplenty I think.
