any cooking class in hong kong?
 

I am going to travel to Hong Kong with my wife in August. Both my wife and myself love cooking and always look for a cooking class in a local. Does anyone know is there any cooking class available out there in Hong Kong? Thanks.

Her school is easy to reach, right off the subway. There were two other Americans in our class. We cooked three entrees, then Martha demonstrated three more. About 4:00 p.m. she took us to the wet market a couple of blocks from her school. We spent another hour and a half looking at all the food, wandered in the stores. It was a fabulous experience, but not one of those cutesy, everyone drinking white wine kind of deals. You will work, but you will learn a lot.

I should mention that when I phoned the HK gas company to enquire about cooking classes, at that time they were seeking groups of ten, not individual students.

Cooking class in Hong Kong by Home's Cooking (www.homescookingstudio.com) may be a good option for you if you are looking for a simple half day tour which to bring you a touch to local people life about what they eat, how they pick the freshest ingredient from wet market and how they cook it in their home style.

Generally cooking classes covers only recipes of various dishes. They don't teach the best ways of presentation and new tools and techniques in teaching which are an important aspect in cooking. If you are interested to learn each and everything related to cooking, then it would be better to go for culinary arts program. It wouldn't be difficult also as these courses are available online also that to from very good universities. Online course wouldn't affect your regular works also.
