Ankor Wat - sunset , sunrise, itinerary

Jump to last reply

We have a private guide booked for two days at Ankor Wat. He suggests watching the sunrise . Does anyone recommend watching sunset as well or is sunrise the most spectacular ?
This is his suggested itinerary -

Day 1: catch the amazing sunrise and visit Angkor Wat, breakfast at the hotel and visit Angkor Thom including South Gate, Bayon, Baphuon, Elephant and Leper King Terrace. Lunch around the temples, finish the day after the visit of the jungle clad temple Ta Prohm.

Day 2: hike up Phnom Bakheng for the spectacular view of Angkor area, continue to Preah Khan temple. Possibility of visiting more temple along the grand circuit. Afternoon, visit to the floating village on the Great Lake Tonle Sap.

Any comments ?
