all asia air ticket help
I'm planning our first trip to china and saw the special all asia air ticket by Cathay Pacific and Malaysia Air. Does anyone know if this is worth it and how does it work? There will be 4 of us travelling for 3 weeks. We were originally planning to only visit Hong Kong, Beijing, Xian, Guan Dong (our ancestrial village) and see the major sites starting in either HK or Beijing. But if it is cheaper to travel to more sites throughout Asia we may change our route and go to more countries??? Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Do you have the url for this ticket?
just be aware that they may change the itinuary on you a bit. so don't make any hotel reservation until you get pretty close too go time..

1. you don't have too go too all the cities you can just choose 3 if you want
I've purchase the All Asia Pass from Cathay but for you travels I don't recommend it. Firstly, most of your travels are in China and the All Asia Pass doesn't cover it in the base price you have to pay $400 US more. Secondly, you can fly into Beijing/Shanghai and flyout of Beijing/Shanghai but you still have to pay for you transporation within China. Unless you're planning to travel to other destinations on the pass it's not worth it. Japan would definitely be worth it - just to fly in and out of Japan you'll get your money's worth. For example, I'm going to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, HK, Japan, Beijing & India.
