Alila Manggis & Amankila Bali
Did I read correctly that if you stay at the Alila Manggis you can use the faciltities at the Amankila? Anyone have more information on how this works?
|
You know, it doesn't sound unfamiliar....but I can't find where I think I read it too.
Incidentally, the general manager of Alila Mangiss, Mandy Pummer, has her own place nearby...Seraya Shores...http://www.serayashores.com A pool has just been added which looks lovely. Considered it for our next Bali trip...but I think we're going farther on up the coast to Amed. |
Thanks Kim, I'll take a look at the Seraya Shore next time I'm in the area.
Anybody out there with info on Alila/Amankila arrangement? |
Having stayed at Amankila, I can't say I remember hearing about this. But the best way to find out for sure is to email the hotel(s) directly and ask.
Even if some article somewhere mentioned it, reporters have been known to be wrong and/or the information could be outdated. |
I'm thinking about a week at either the Alila Manggis or Amankila. The former is about 1/4 the cost of the latter, so there's definitely a financial consideration. My objective is mostly to sit by the pool, stare out to sea and try to make a dent in the pile of books I've accumulated. Plus I want to do some East Bali reconnaisance.
My husband, however, is a runner, which is why he loves the beach at Seminyak. Any good jogging trails near the AM or AK? |
I enquired the last time I was there (June 05) and apparently, for about $10 a day, you can use the private beach and the lower swimming pool (not the lovely infinity pool) at the Aman.
