Airport transfers form Indira Gandhi - Delhi

Very first time to India and concerned as both my wife and I are arriving very early hours of a sunday morning, we won't be able to get to our hotel in Karol Bagh (Hotel Good Times).

Does anyone out there have advice as to how to get a hassle-free(where possible) transfer?

Cheers

It's a while since I was in New Delhi - but last time I arrived after midnight. You will have no probs getting a taxi - use the pre-paid service available at a booth inside the arrivals hall. And as you have a hotel reservation, and know where you are going, you won't be in that unfortunate situation of nominating a destination just on spec (which often leads to taking a room somewhere completely different!!)

Enjoy India.

Thanks, very much for that. I wonder do you recall the colour of the taxi's you mentioned. And what I'm likely to pay

I suggest you have your hotel pick you up if possible and not hassle with the taxis.

I just returned from 3 weeks in India--getting a taxi at the airports is no problem. Go to the "Pre-Paid Taxi" booth inside the terminal, tell them your hotel, show them the amount of your luggage, and they will quote an incredibly reasonable price. You pay them and receive a certificate with the name of your hotel and a taxi number on it. Go outside and you will be directed to your taxi. Show the certificate to the driver and off you go! Hope you have nerves of steel! Don't relinquish the certificate to the driver until you are delivered safely to your hotel. He doesn't get paid without it. We never had a problem.
