Airport pick up from Narita

Can anyone recommend a limo company we can use to go from Narita to our hotel in the Shinjuku area?
Thanks!
Larry

We took the Limo bus. Pretty painless - just a couple of other stops besides our hotel. And MUCH cheaper than a car service.

We stayed in the Shinjuku area, took the N'EX train to Shinjuku station, and a taxi to the hotel. We had lots of luggage but it was really no problem. The advantage to the train is that it does not have to deal with traffic. Other recent visitors to Japan like Kathie have taken the Limo bus and have had good experiences.

Thanks. Do you have a link to the limo bus please?

Smeagol Jul 15th, 2014 12:32 PM

I used a transfer service ( as I really didn't want to negotiate the train after a long journey - and our landing time meantbae would have to wait for the bus) I found a company that had a great rate compared to the hotel / others ( I seem to remember getting flamed on Flyer talk that they must be dodgy! ) anyway they were absolutely fine. It was an old fashioned car but absolutely mint. The greeter was there waiting for us at arrivals. We paid 19k ( total price) to go from Natita to the Park Hyatt Shinjuku. I absolutely would recommend.
That said now if we went back we would take the train but for a first time visitor ( and if the price doesn't make you balk too much) get the transfer service. Let me know if you want me to dig out the link?

Sorry about the typos.... I hate this apple keypad sometimes!

we used the limo bus too last October. google it..

the desk to buy the tickets was right opposite where you come out from with your luggage. the door for the bus was right there too.

we took it to the S. train station and then a taxi from there.

private transfers were about $190.

Thanks for the link and all the replies. Any idea what a taxi would cost and would language be a problem in telling the cabbie where to go ?

Smeagol Jul 15th, 2014 01:16 PM

Taxis are more expensive than the car service is used ( I researched it A LOT)

jacketwatch Jul 15th, 2014 01:24 PM

Wow. Thanks again.

Smeagol Jul 15th, 2014 01:38 PM

Did you want the link to the car service? I can find it out in my paperwork, no worries if not.

jacketwatch Jul 15th, 2014 03:44 PM

It won't hurt to check so yes, please do. :)

It's about an hour+ drive into Tokyo, so a taxi will not be cheap. I've taken the train and the Limo bus (and once was picked up by a friend).

If it is going near your hotel, the limo bus is really quite nice. The train is also very pleasant, but takes a little more wandering in the airport to find it, plus you have to carry your own luggage. The limo bus tickets are is right by the exit doors, and there are signs to help you find them. they'll store your bags underneath and remove them for you when you get off. Don't worry, these are regularly used by tourists, and the signs and information is all in English.

jacketwatch Jul 15th, 2014 05:52 PM

That reassuring. The last think we want to do is schlep the luggage so if they do this that's a plus as well as the English factor. We arrive at NRT at 1600 on a week day so I suppose traffic could be brutal. Any ideas as we are going to the Shinjuku area. Thanks!

Do I remember you are staying at the Hyatt Regency? The Limo bus makes a stop there, so that's going to be the easiest:

This covers pretty much everything from Narita.

The hotel website gives you all your options:

If you're not at the HR, sorry. You can still use all this info for other hotels.

jacketwatch Jul 16th, 2014 01:01 AM

Yes, it's the HR. Thanks for remembering and for all those links.
Larry. :)

This was the company we used.

Thanks. The rates look pretty good relatively speaking.
Larry. :-)

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency and the Limo bus was the easiest, most efficient way we found into Tokyo. We weren't willing to pay $200 to get to our hotel.
