Airline Help

I'm getting ready to book our airline tickets to Thailand for this coming October. We are on a budget so we are flying economy (would rather splurge on hotels/shopping!). These 3 airlines are about the same price for economy tickets, I was wondering if anyone would choose 1 over another. They all have 1 short lay-over (Thai Air has the nonstop but it is $600 more).
Any recommendations?

1. China Airlines
2. Cathay Pacific
3. Delta Airlines

PS- We would really prefer to have individual TVs!

where are you flying from?

We are leaving out of LAX. Would love the nonstop flight but the taxes add too much! :(

Delta doesn't fly those routes. They'll be putting you on

- Korean via Seoul,
- China Airlines via Taipei,
- Korean/Northwest via Tokyo.

Yikes your right...I was looking at the wrong thing! After reading I am thinking of going more and more with Cathay. Hopefully we can score the seats in the back that have only 2!

Cathay

Have you considered Eva Air? they are a fantastic airline with a great value "premium economy product" they will route through Tapai not sure of the time scale from LAX to BKK. We have done Uk to BKK and they are our prefered airline to Thailand. I have flown Cathay and thought they were "OK" but Eva is way better value for money.

I'd second the recommendation for Eva. Their Deluxe class is usually the same price as other's economy. Their timing out of LAX is usually better also - they leave late at night, but arrive in Thailand in the mid-afternoon.

One thing I remember about Eva is that they don't usually show up as an option if you're searching meta-sites. For some reason, they system doesn't support this, but if you call them or ask an agent, they can figure out the booking and price easily.

eva and i would also add ANA, but do not know if they fly from LA...

china would be my last choice...
