Air Canada - Toronto to HK - power ports

Does anyone know if you need an adaptor on this flight?
As it stands now, we dont have a seat with a power port - wonder if the flight attendants would be nice enough to charge it for us at some point during the flight....
any experience???

According to seatguru.com the seats with power has standard 110V socket. So no adaptors required.

why don't you ask the airline direct so you will have 100% correct info for your specific flight??

American and Delta have Cigar lighter plugs for laptops, standard hook-up, 12VDC. I suspect that Canada might be the same.

Unfortunately, calling the airline often isn't helpful as the phone agent usually doesn't know.

Seatguru.com is really the best place to find the information.

YYZ-HKG is on AC's only two A340-500. Other AC aircrafts may have 110V AC or Empower 12V DC power in their business class seats. One just have to check it out.

i guess i have a hard time relying on a 3rd party for accurate info without also asking the source....

Well, Air Canada was my first resource - and every time I talk to them I'm simply 'amazed' at how ignorant they really are - they know nothing and are not willing to find out......and that's why I had to resort to posting on this forum on this specific issue.....
If I had a choice, I would never fly AC - but that was the only direct TO-HK. Due to very POOR entertainment program I wanna bring my dvd player but not all seats have power port...
