Tried to book tickets on Air Asia but when I come to the booking seats, only the seat number/alpha comes up but it doesn't assign it to me.

What can be done to get the seats assigned so I can continue on with the booking?

Okay, figured it out.
Doesn't work on ipad
Works on regular computer

I have booked maybe 15 air Asia flights over the last 6 months exclusively using and iPad. The problem you describe has happened on a number of occasions to me. I think it is more to do with their website than the iPad as it usually rectifies itself a few hours and I have always been able to book seats. There is an iPad app but don't bother downloading it as it is hopeless!

Incidentally, I no longer bother reserving seats. Checking in online as far in advance as possible and we always get seats together.

I always book seat 2 A&C. I have never had trouble booking seats, but have had trouble paying for my flights. I use a computer.

I never attempt bookings on Air Asia unless I have plenty of time to deal with the "issues". There are always issues!
