Adelphi Suites - Which room?
My husband and I have chosen the Adelphi Suites for our trip to Bangkok in July. We will be there for 16 days, minus five days in Chiang Mai.
Is any difference between the deluxe and executive other than 5' cf? Thank you, Mizzeve |
carol is on her way home to the usa today, but i am sure she will answer when she gets home... she is the expert

I'm home!! Landed at ORD about 5 hours ago, then had to get my car and drive 3 hours plus to my small town... I'm tired! But here goes...
I always get the executive suite rather than the deluxe. I HAVE stayed in a deluxe once, and I have also stayed in the studio suite once. The exec feels quite a big larger than the deluxe because of the room arrangement. The exec and deluxe both have the washing machine which I always use at least 2-3 times during a stay. (the dryer doesn't work like dryers in the USA... I hang my clothes to dry) The exec suite gets a lot more natural light than the deluxe suite. The deluxe is at both 'ends' of each floor, and the end walls have no windows. The windows on the building are all on the front and back side. The exec has two large window panes, one in the living/kitchen and one in the bedroom. The room numbers of the executive suites end in either -01 or -10. I prefer the one that ends with -01 because it is minutely larger than the one that ends with -10. The Adelphi is a friendly place. I hope you will enjoy it. I have been staying only at Adelphi on all my BKK trips since it opened some 3-4 yrs ago. Hope this helps. Carol |
in addition to adelphi, i would encourage you to look at the chatrium suites on the river.... very very nice....nicer rooms than those i visited at AS... plus it is on the river and a short boatride to the skytrain...
For some reason I cannot pull up the Chatrium website. Thanks for the info on Adelphi :)

www.chatrium.com
Chatrium Suites look really beautiful. I think they are a different class; luxury river suites, vs the more local Adlephi. The last time I was in Bangkok, Chatrium prices were a lot higher and I wanted a more convenient location for my specific activities, so I ended up staying at Adelphi. I was very happy with the friendly staff, lively neighborhood and very short walk to the Skytrain at the end of the block. |
chatrium was about $100 last fall when we were there....
they have rooms for less than $100 now

Sounds good to me!
should we get you two a room at the Adelphi????
Good luck to you Lucy...He is a bit like Prince Charles and wants someone to squeeze the tooth paste for him...And no I won't do it.
if we go to adelphi, it would have to be menage a trois, with you know who...
quite honestly when she does squeeze the toothpaste for me it pisses me off because she never uses my sterling brush, only the gold one..
For better comfort i would recommend the Executive room since it is a bigger room. Have a great stay and ofcourse do let us know what you think about the hotel after ur trip.
Cheers :D |
jas64 are you a regular there, just as I am?? Maybe I've seen you in the lobby sometime.
