Please suggest best place to stay in Cantho that has clean rooms, good matresses, good breakfast included,in central location. We're in our 60s & require a comfortable lodging. Thanks.

I have not stayed there myself, but Victoria hotels in Vietnam are generally good I think (although not cheap. Have a look at this link

The Victoria is the best but very pricy. If your looking for a cheaper good hotel then have a look at the Golf Cantho Hotel at around $60.

Friends stayed here when doing a river cruise and found it satisfactory .

I belive a step down from the Victoria is a large step down. It is not right in town but a very short transfer.
It could use a little upgrading but it is absolutely fine after a long day in The Mekong.

You should be able to get a good rate from whatever agency you are using in the Mekong.

I really enjoyed the Mekong delta
Enjoy

Agree with all of the above. Arriving at the Victoria after a long, hot day touring in the Mekong was such a welcome relief. Nice dining room, lovely pool and comfortable (but not luxurious) rooms.
The next day on the way to the boat, we saw the Golf Can Tho....as noted, it's a BIG step down. Right in town and looked like quite a noisy location.
If you want comfort, spend the extra money for the Victoria.
