Abbey Road Worth It?

My daughter and I are huge Beatles fans, planning first trip in July to London.
Wonder if Abbey Rd. is really worth the trip.
Is there more to see than the painted striped crosswalk? Thanks!

They would definitely know the answer over on the Europe board. All we do here is trace the footsteps of the Beatles in India.

Lots and lots of tourists are at Abbey Road everyday. They take photos as they cross the road Beatles style. They write messages on the wall in front of the studio. I don't think there is much to see but all these people seem to like it very much. It is close to the tube station so it does not take that much time.

can you please tell me the tube station's name and line,
Thanks.

St. Johns Woods station if I remember correctly....don't remember what line.

Go out the station door and down the street till you see the statue in the middle of the roundabout(feel like your in a song) the studio is ahead and the crosswalk right there. You can write on the concrete fence but it looks like they paint it over every couple of years or so. Lots of people taking pics of the sidewalk and crossing the sidewalk when we were there
