A319/A320 seat question
I know, I've said it before, I don't really like the Airbus planes, but I have to fly on both the A319 and the A320 next week, ORD - IAD - ORD.
I've booked seats in row 6 (UA econ+) which seatguru shows as "green" (ie good seats). I was very surprised that row 6 was still available as most of the other seats on the plane, and in econ+, were already taken. Anyone think they know why others might NOT want seats in row 6?? This is not a TED flt. Row 6 is immediately behind 1st class.
I always check my luggage, so a smaller overhead bin is not a problem for me. I know that TED seats in the front of the plane have very little overhead room. I've requested upgrades to 1st for both flights, but in case they don't come through, why do other passengers avoid row 6?? Anyone??
Thanks!
Carol

If it's directly behind first class, is it possible that the tray table is in the armrest rather than attached to a seat in front of you? If so, those seats aren't as wide due to the tray table. Some people like the extra hip room, so don't want those seats.

I'm sure the tray table is in the armrest. I've had many a bulkhead seat in my years of flying.
My main concern is that no one else jumped on row 6 seats before I got there! The plane was already quite full by the time I booked about two days ago. I'm wondering why seatguru says the seats are "green" (good) but nobody else took them before me! I'm sure there are other premier exec people who would have taken them... what do they know that I don't?
Oh well, the flt is only a short hop. It's not like going to BKK!

That's possible, but would someone book and then cancel ALL of row 6? (we're talking 6 seats)
But then again, maybe some larger company decided they couldn't send 6 people out to the BEA in DC at the same time... lol
Anyway, their loss is my gain.

Maybe they just squished in another whole row of seats?? They figured hey the simpsons want 6 tickets...lets just make em a space! Check if they now have a Row 6 in First and another row 6 in econ+! ;-)
I'm crossing my fingers you'll get some of those first class upgrades!
