A short intro...

Bumped onto the forum a couple of days ago and found it really informative and usefull, very active and fun..joined in the fun at a few threads already and thought its rude not to introduce myself:
My name is Gal and I am an expat living in Thailand for 16 years now. Been working for many years in the Aviation industry, based in Bangkok, and just recently relocated to Pattaya for a new project (not aviation related). Married to a local who is in the travel industry, and luving every minute of it.
After 16 years in The Big Chilly, i guess I can say i've been around (I speak Thai, so i've been around and back...). Will be happy to share my local knowledge of places, people and culture with you all.

rhkkmk Feb 8th, 2006 05:38 AM

do you have an opinion on the new sheraton in pattaya?

magical_routes Feb 8th, 2006 07:28 AM

rhkkmk,(Sheraton Pattaya,,,)Popped in once and it looks the real deal, except for the location...Not on the beach if you are a beach bum, not in the mix if you are a bar hopper...sort of an in betweenie...but Pattaya is not that big, so i guess overall should be on the plus side..

Welcome. We'd love to hear a few of your favorite restaurants. Also, any massage places or other relaxation activities would be appreciated. We're all jealous.
