A few years ago on one of my trips to Vietnam, I did a Sapa trek -- very much to my surprise since I am rather allergic to the word "trek". I am not in shape and not the right age anymore for this sort of entertainment after leading a non sporting life.

Yet, it was a great experience and I hope to do it again some day.

kerouac, we are planning our first trip to Vietnam, for March 2011. I loved reading your blog and looking at your pictures -- may be enough to entice me to take a similar trek, except for the freezing nights in April!
