1. Have dim sum at Maxim's Chinese restaurant or other Asian restaurants.

2. HK airport provide free WiFi. Take out your laptop, send emails, and surf the Web.

What time is your layover (day or evening or combo). What date/day is your layover (could be a public holiday, would change my reccos), also November weather is much different from July and may change reccos too.

You can email the airport ahead of time and reserve large comfy reclining chairs intended for naps. Showers are also available.

Look on the site for the Hong Kong airport for the link.

There are no public showers. Only at the airline lounges or the paid Premium Plaza Lounge.

Not sure if your layover allow you to get out of the airport? Assuming the answer is yes, and you don't mind getting in and out of the airport, you probably have 2 to 3 hours 'free time' despite the checking in and going through customs.

There is a new outlet mall in Tung Chung which should be very close to the airport. It's the first ever outlet mall in Hong Kong. This may be a good idea to kill few hours.
