7 days Phi Phi or Phuket
 

I am going to both Phuket and Phi Phi Island in late May. I have seven days and will spend first night in Phuket and catch ferry to Phi Phi the next morning. I am middled age and wonder if I should spend my remaining vacation of 6 days on Phi Phi, or just 4 day and come back to Phuket and stay 2 days. Any suggestions? Will I be too bored if I stay entire trip on Phi Phi?<BR>Thank you, Barry.

Phi Phi is a small island, now very touristy very backpacker type place. I would suggest you will find much more to do on Phuket itself. I hope you realise it is rainy season for that area of Thailand at end of May!(?)

Barry, where are you staying on Phi Phi? And even more importantly, what sorts of things do you like to do? Phuket will have more nightlife, but Phi Phi can be a beautiful, relaxing paradise if you are away from the port town on a private beach. Tonsai Bay does feel like the under-25, backpacker capital of the world, but we stayed elsewhere and loved PP.

Barry, I'm not sure where the Holiday Inn is, but I'm guessing Tonsai Bay. Perhaps you can see how you like Phi Phi and then make the decision. You could check at your Phuket hotel and see if there are rooms should you want to return there.<BR><BR>We also spent one night in Phuket before going on to Phi Phi on our first trip. We didn't care much for Phuket, but I think if one stays in a nicer, resort-type hotel, it is an entirely different experience. Many people on this board love Phuket. If you do a search you will find lots of info.<BR><BR>Have a great trip!
