6 hours halt at Hong Kong Airport.. What to do?????

Hi All,

I will be travelling from Tokyo to Mumbai on 23 June. I will reach Hong Kong at 2:30 PMand have connecting flight at 8:00 PM. Can I get around in Hong Kong and visit some places???
Is it possible to get Transit Visa... I am Indian national.. Please suggest what will be the best option in this short time..

Indians can visit HK visa-free for 14 days. With 5.5 hrs between flight, you can get a same-day return Airport Express train ticket, ride to the city for a quick look, ride the Star Ferry across the harbour, grab a snack, and then return to airport.

Hi -

Take the MTR to Tung Chung - it takes less than 10 minutes. From there you can ride the Ngong Ping 360 cable car to see the Big Buddha and the monastery. If you have time leftover, there's also discount premium shopping connected to the Tung Chung station. This is the first post on my Hong Kong blog, so if you want more information, there's a link in my profile.

You take the S1 bus or a blue taxi to Tung Chung. Not MTR from airport.

totally agree with the Buddha idea. Was just there last week and did the same trip. Easy to do with the time between flights. Enjoy!
