6.0 earthquake in Chaing Rai

Just read about this over on flyertalk-anybody know more about it? The poster said that there was a 4.8 aftershock shortly after and that it was felt in Chiang Mai.

The quake was centered in northern Laos. Only very minor damage in Chiang Rai.

The todayonline link didn't work for me, but Reuters reports the epicenter 92 miles from Luang Prabang, with the shockwaves felt in Bangkok and Hanoi. Happily, no reported casualties.

It was certainly felt here in Chiang Mai by some people. Friends of ours who live on the 14th floor of a condominium felt it, but at ground level we felt nothing.

This is a section of a renewed travel warning I received today from smarttraveller.gov.au re Thailand.
On 16 May 2007, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale was measured in Laos near Northern Thailand. There were no reports of casualties. Thai authorities anticipated minor aftershocks. There is no previous historical record of earthquakes in Thailand.
