3 Days in Singapore

I will be spending 3 days in Singapore in February. I need a little help planning. I will be travelling alone, so I thought one or two tours might be best. Looking for ideas on what area to stay in, best things to see. I am more interested in culture than shopping. Any advise would be appreciated---there is so much to choose from and with only 3 days I would like to catch as much as I can. Thanks!

There is absolutely no need for a tour in Singapore. It's a small city-state with great public transport. English is spoken everywhere. Get yourself a guidebook or get the Singapore Tourist Board literature and see what you want to do.

There are many dozens of p[osts here on what to do in Singapore. Some of my favorites: The Museum of Asian Civilization, the Botaniacal Garden (especially the orchid garden), there is a tiny museum in Raffles Hotel that is worth a visit. Consider the Jurong Bird Park and the Night Safari at the zoo.

Best place to stay? As close to an MRT stop as possible. That gives you lots of options!

I really enjoyed the Malay Cultural Center ant that neighborhood. Your hotel can guide you there.

Singapore is super accessible. My favorites were the Battle Box Museum (WWII history) and the temples and such in Chinatown. Lots of cheap shopping there, too. For the swankier side of things, there are lots of lovely restaurants and such at Clarke Quay. More info and pics from our trip at http://patrinadoestheglobe.blogspot.com/
