Jeremiah - I will also be in Thailand from Oct 19 - 26. I went to this website and learned a lot about train travel in T.

Also check www.virtualtourist.com for good tips on what's good and what's a scam.

Jeremiah7 and Curious Dave

I will also be in Thailand the same period you will (actually, from Oct 25 through Nov2). I will be attending some meetings, but have left a couple days in the beggining and end of my stay for sightseeing.

I will be staying at the Menam Riverside Hotel which, as I heard in this board, is certainly not tops, but then, I can't complain since it will be free for me. It is a 3 stars hotel on the river Chao Phraya (I think a double room there goes for $75.00).

I have been learning alot from this board, and I want to thank all the "experts" here for their very helpful hints.

Just wanted to let you know that you will not be getting a copy of Lynn's trip report as it is almost 5 years old and she no longer checks in with this forum.
