Our last Bangkok dinner was at Via Vai (fantastic meal) with Dr Jack and a friend from Chicago who is in BKK right now. I'm mostly packed; DH is working on his packing as I type. I'm going to catch some sleep, I hope, although I'll keep waking up to check the clock. Need to be up about 3:00-3:30ish.... ugh... sure with United could get a better flight time out of BKK!

Anyway, trip is over. It's been really great, again! Thanks for 'coming along' with me. Hope some of you got some helpful information along the way.

Mango I do wish you would post your experiences as it might be a help to others. This would not be a very compelling board if only positive experiences were posted. I understand your reluctance, as sometimes people get slammed for negative comments but I , for one, would be grateful if you would reconsider.

I wish he would too eks - but the personal abuse Mango gets in here is simply unacceptable. Of course, by the miracle of moderation, not everybody gets to see what is really going on.

Why Mango would put himself willingly in the firing line for more of that is beyond me. I think we're asking too much this time.

Hi Mr. Dog!!

It annoys me that anyone that does not hew to the "official" stance on a number of topics here seems to get bashed. I don't know the ins and outs of things here as much as many others, but the way I see things, this is supposed to be a forum to offer travel information of all types.

It would be much more interesting if we could read both he good and bad--of all destinations. Unfortunately, negative comments--especially on certain topics-- often call forth a rush of nasty comments which is counterproductive.

Welcome back to OHare. Glad the upgrades cleared for you both. I got our award BIZ tickets for the upstairs on JAL and we'll be off on Thurs Morning, getting to BKK Fri at midnight. I'm so excited, just like a young kid waiting for Father Christmas, even having trouble sleeping, silly really.
You'll be going back there in 3 months right? nice.
Safe trip all the way home, I'll send some posts from Thailand.

I'm home again! Flights were very nice. Enjoyed a bit of food and then slept a lot. No movies for me... nothing of any interest.

Next week, Vegas for 6 nights!

Sue, have a fantastic time in BKK. You and DS (bradinbangkok) will no doubt be at NRT at the same time, as he will fly home on Saturday!

At least the weather wasn't tooooooo cold for our arrival. No snow to contend with, thank goodness.

It will be nice to sleep in my own bed tonight.

Welcome home Carol and dh. After a long flight, even if the weather is ccccold it's still nice to be in your own bed. But for you, not so long!!!! to Vegas now?? A venue I have never visited - probably should but have always thought it would be like Patong (ugh hated that) and, don't care for gambling.
So just taking care of the last things here, very very happy and excited to be off to wonderful Thailand again in the morning. Will send messages from "over there"
