2 Days in Shanghai
 

I am accompanying friend on a business trip to Shanghai, staying in Nanjing Rd.
What should i do and see?
All ideas welcome from sightseeing to shoppping to dining!

I grew up in an apartment over looking Nanjing Rd and I'm going back to visit in July. For two days in Shanghai, I'd suggest the following itinerary:

Day 1 - Yu Yuan Garden during the day (have lunch there), then Oriental Pearl Tower in the evening (have dinner there). Take a cruise on the river at night. All of these places/activities are close to each other.

Day 2 - Stroll along the bund & Nian Jing Rd, then take the metro to Huai Hai Rd, both are major streets but with different charactors. There are plenty of restaurants and shoppings. Then be sure to go to "Xin Tian Di" for the night life, it's near Huai Hai Rd.

The museum! (www.shanghaimuseum.net/en/index.asp) I went back to Shanghai just to spend more time in the museum, especially with the jade.

I second the museum, it's a must see.
