10 hours in Macau - What to do?

Coming from HK to Macau..

1) Which ferry to take?
2) Do I need to buy tickets in advance?
3) Major sites to see .. no casinos

People have told me to leverage the casino shuttles but where do they take you?

for one day tour of Macau, i think you might prefer to take you and your camera on our dedicated Portuguese Macau Tour.

Cobbled together by the Portuguese centuries ago, a map is a must, also you can see the warren like structure of Macau’s streets. Luckily streets are well signposted, in the Roman alphabet, and Macau is a compact city with most of the sights within walking distance.

Some answers:

1.1 Two major ferry ports in Hong Kong, one on Hong Kong side and the other Kowloon. Each port is operated by a different company.
1.2 Tow destinations in Macau, one on the old Macau island or town the other on the newer Cotai area.
2 NO, even on weekends when there are a lot of people I was able to find tickets.
3 Walk around the historic area of old Macau (St Paul ruin, museum etc). Also, a drive around Cotai island will take you to less touristy places and some good local restaurant (Fernando).

Casino shuttle buses will pick you up from the ferry terminals and take you to their casino. If you plan ahead this can save you some cab fare.
