...fly Air France or Air Tahiti Nui from Los Angeles to Paris?

I've never flown either airline, so my only agenda here is feedback on people's personal experiences with these airlines (not necessarily these routes either).

Well, when I flew to Tahiti, the only option was Air France. The flight left out of California about 11:30 pm. It had originated in Paris - so the plane was really full of grumpy people - especially children, that had already been on that plane a long time. Air France is not one of my favorite airlines, but I would just pick either one based on convenience of scheduling..... Just be prepared for some whiney children (don't blame them, I would have been whiney, too.....)

I flew Air Tahiti Nui from Tokyo to Papeete and from Papeete to Los Angeles. It was 2003 and their new aircrafts already had personal tv screens in coach. Staff and food were good an we had a very positive overall impression. I have flown Air France coach last year from Tokyo to Paris. The food was great but the aircraft a bit too old. I would pick Air Taiti Nui because of the nice onboard feeling to be on holiday, but for me first priority would be convenient scheduled time and fares !!

In a heartbeat, Air Tahiti. I've done that exact flight before (about 3 years ago) and it was great. I've never flown Air France, but their economy class does not get great reviews.
