My son has a 1 hour 15 min. window to get from 2E to 2D. If I read the info on this thread correctly, he will need to go through passport control but not security, correct?

From where to where is he going? In most cases, he will have to go through security, the question is whether he will go through passport control too.

Coming from JFK, going to Budapest. I'm thinking he has to do the whole works. Probably not a prayer of him making his connection regardless of how fast he can get from one terminal to the other. Ugh!!

I've made connections at CDG in less time than 1:15 but it is tough and a lot will depend on the lines. Tell him not to waste any time once he gets off the flight from JFK. Also tell him if it comes down to the wire he should ask security if he can go to the front of the line. Last year I did that and it worked for me.

I think he can make it, but it can be variable. He should make sure he doesn't waste time and keeps an eye out for the signage. If he is running close at security, then he should inform someone there - I find CDG very good about prioritizing short connections.

Air France schedules 1:15 connections all the time. Given the expense associated with missed connections, I have to think that most people make their connections or else they would change the minimum connection time.

Thanks. I'm a bit less concerned on the strength of these responses. Especially good point that AF has lots of these connections--of course, they also have lots of later flights but sonny is flying Delta, so same alliance. Ok, I'm calmer now. Thanks all.
