Happy to think a bunch of wealthy smokers would all be quarantined on the same planes. Just a matter of slow vs. quick timetable for the deathwish.

Would I fly such an airline? Only if it were the only airline available and my child's life depended on it. Otherwise they couldn't give me a free ticket on it.

"Nobody seemed to complaim about smokers then!"

Would you believe there was a time when nobody complained about

slavery

stoning people to death

child labor

crucifying criminals

serfdom

Eventually everybody stops smoking....

I think it's quite likely that slaves complained quite a bit so I don't think slavery belongs on your list.

If I had the money, I would really enjoy a luxury airline that had a smoking section. A cigarette with a drink and also after a first-rate meal would be very pleasurable.

If it's cattle class - then an image of Hell just comes to mind.

Strange how the last 5 funerals I went to were for non-smokers! 2 of them were under 60. No guarantees in this life or the next!
How inane to compare smoking with slavery, etc, etc Zzzzzzz

Couldn't be. Non-smokers never die. ;)

I flew on one of the first 747 flights on Pan Am from San Diego to Hong Kong with a group of Navy wives meeting their husbands on R&R from the Vietnam war. One of the members of our group was pregnant. When she protested all the smoking on the flight the FA responded to her question about the non-smoking section with--"YOUR seat is the non-smoking section"!

Thank god no one's saying cigars should be allowed. What is it about cigars? I'm told they taste better than they smell (they'd have to), but always suspect the (male) people who smoke them kind of enjoy the idea of the cloud of stink they spread.

In the old days, a 3-class plane had smoking in three different areas. If you were in the front row of coach, the row ahead of you (business or first) was smoking.
