Why do flights show up on Kayak but not Delta?
 

I spent an afternoon buying tickets. When I would look at Delta options from Kayak it would have a dozen outbbound flights and the same coming home. I would pick a combination I liked and go outside of Kayak to Delta to book.

Nope...Delta just listed about half of what Kayak said they had.

I went back to Kayak and selected the option to book through Delta and magically the flights were back.

Is this normal? Or was today just crazy because of the folks trying to rebook Europe.

Delta doesn't always present all flights, esp if you search by Price. I understand searching by Schedule gives you more flights, if not all.

Oh well... I guess I'll continue to use Kayak even if I know that I'm going Delta. Delta might lose out however. One of these days another airline will be cheaper and I'll find them on Kayak.

That happened to me with Continental last year. They showed the flight, but the price was higher than Kayak said. But as long as I used Kayak to access the Continental site, all was well, and I booked that way.
