Which option

Here are my two options on may 25 for travelling from cinicnati to prague. Which one would you vote for?

CVG to JFK and then to Prague: delta-delta

CVG to Paris and then to Prague:delta-Airfrance

I will do almost ANYTHING to avoid connecting at CDG. But you may think differently . . .

Just flew the CVG to CDG direct segment last mont Delta in not-so-Comfort class. Found the plane to be older and not very comfortable. Then switched to an AF flight. CDG airport can be a long walk and very congested. And I have been through CDG many times.

Agree with janisj, avoid CDG. Fly through JFK, direct to Prague. I had planned to use CVG-JFK-ZRH but a weather issue caused re-routing via Paris to ZRH.

Thank you very much!

Yes, i am hearing lots of negative stuff about travelling through CDG.

There is another flight that goes through Philadelphia from Cincinati and the. Directly to Prague. That one is through AA and the connection time was only one hour which seems to risky.

Any thought? Thanks much

I've made multiple 1hr connections on AA through PHL. Outbound I would not personally be concerned. Your risk tolerance may vary.

These are the exact dates

And returning from Vienna to cinicnati I saturday June 2nd

There are so many options. Trying to choose the better airlines

This the the flight I bought and I have 24 hours from now to modify

Sat May 26th Delta CVG JFK 4hrs layover then JFK to Prague

Return

Sat June 2 AF Vienna CDG one hour layover then CDG to CVG

Is the one hour layover over to fly through CDG?

Thanks much

Wow! That is tight. I believe you must go from terminal 2 D to 2 E where Delta has its gates. I believe you must exit the Schengen area and transit both passport control and security. I would call Delta and book the earlier flight. Believe there is a 7:05AM flight.

I would not do a 1 hour layover in CDG. Too tight a timeframe! But if booked on the same ticket and same airline/partner, the airline would be responsible for rebooking your missed flight.

I avoid CDG at all costs.

Any suggestions for return flight?

Departing may 26 cvg to prague
Returning Vienna to cvg June 2nd

Huggy Nov 5th, 2017 01:44 PM

Please note that the issue is the transfer time in Paris. One hour is very tight. Two hours is better. Look at the CDG map. Delta to AF requires a change of terminals. Changing terminals is the issue as you must go through security and immigration. That is where you can be held up.

One hour is tight, two or more is better. You can always have a coffee or meal in Paris. If business class, you can use the airline biz class lounge. Book a flight with these parameters.

As stated earlier, book an early flight from Vienna through CDG. You missed the 24 hour window to cancel. Unless you booked the early flight, I wish you good luck. Put your track shoes on.

Oh, thankfully i did not buy that one and did choose one with a 3 hr window in CDG. Ill purchase on Monday
