Which airline to Peru

Never heard of Lan Peru or Copa airlines...I would like some feedback before I book a tour to Peru. Thanks!

I'm booked on Lan Peru and I've read good things on this forum and on flyertalk.com. I'm going in June and I would be happy to report back, but you probably need info sooner so I hope someone else can help.

PS You might want to post this in the Latin America forum also.

Both LAN and Copa are good airlines. Copa is partner with Continental, and they have a very modern fleet, based in Panama City.

LAN Peru is a division of Chile's LAN airlines. It's top-notch. It's a member of the One World allianace, along with American, so you'd be able to earn FF miles if you're an AAdvantage member.

Copa has good connections in Panama City to many Latin American destinations.

We have flown Lan Peru several times with no problems.

Is there any advantage for you to book on these rather than a US airline? ((*))
