Which Airline to choose from Switzerland to USA

Hi guys,

Any recommendations on which airline to use for visiting the USA from Switzerland? I'm visiting the USA for the 1st time.

Thanks a lot.
Andrew

Choose the one with the best schedule and price. That is what I do when traveling to Europe. Or choose an airline that is a partner with your preferred airline if they donít fly where you are going.

Just figure out which airlines serve your home city or closest international airport. Then compare flight times, how many stops, and prices.

It matters very much where you want to go. You will find more air service to New York or Atlanta than to Detroit, for instance. Competition can keep prices down.
Please explore a multi-city route, flying into one city and out of another. Saves time and money. You must use a multi-destination search function; these form one itinerary, not a pair of one-way tickets.

Thatís an untrue statement. One itinerary is not always equal to one ticket. It can be, but it isnít always.

I don't think itinerary is the right word to use, it's a bit confusing as to what that means. I consider it just a list of where I'm going, has nothing to do with teh type of ticket I have. But the point of this advice is that many people do not even know you can do such a booking and then if you fly into one city and out of another, you have to book 2 one-way tickets and then it gets very expensive.

I thought the caveat was that it isn't always cheaper, which is true. Depends how much it costs to get from your final point back to the original, and how much time.

I just flew from Zurich to IAD and flew Swiss, which was fine, as they fly nonstop on that route. That's how I pick, price and travel time.
