where can i find cheap airline tickets to brazil?

I always have a hard time finding cheap airline tickets. Which website would be best to find cheapest airline tickets to sao paulo, brazil? And any suggestions on when is the best time to purchase, i want to leave right after christmas but before new years for two to three weeks.

Alternatively, keep checking some of the airline websites, including TAM.
Good luck.

Cheapest I can see using ITA is AeroMexico from LAX ($1130) stopping at Mexico City. Continental from LAX stopping at Houston is around $30 more for arbitrary travel days in your timeframe. From SAN add around $70 - $100 for each. Peak season.

I travel to South America often, GIG, GRU, EZE, LIM. South America is never really cheap, like Europe flights in winter seaso. The fares to deep SA usually range from $800 all the way up to $1200. There may be an occasional sale here or there but nothing like European sales. The simple fact is that the few airlines that compete on these routes have a very well planned capacity and they don't need to undercut each other.

Do you have a nearby community with lots of Brazilians? There's a sizable Brazilian population in the town next to mine, and there are travel agents who specialize in getting them back home for visits. I'm not sure, but such agents might have access to good ticket prices.

good tip marigold. Very very true. Also, you might check rates on flights out of Mexico- there is an airport in Tijuana. You might be able to get cheaper rates flying out of Mexico or driving up to LA.
