What is the best airline for customer service?

Recently I have had some serious issues flying U.S. airlines....they act as if they could care less about customer satisfaction. Just read an interesting take on the subject:

Passengers only get what they ask for. US passengers always ask for lowest fare, and they get what they deserve. And don't think foreign airlines are necessarily better. They may seem to have more young faces smiling at you, but when there is irregular operations, most are equally horrible.

Singapore Air. Hands down best in terms of service.

www.airlinequaility.com for ratings reviews no 4 stars in US
Bottom line in US Markets most folks just want a cheap cattle car.Honestly in the US I get the big front seat on spirit.com
very cheap it is better for price than being crammed into a
coach seat with crap service at high prices on the majors.
First class space for a coach price BIG nice leather seat the Costco of the US Skies for me.

I've always been happy with DL service, but then again I have status.

But I have zero status with AA and a few days ago had a wonderful experience trying to book an international award trip. Helpful, friendly, competent ... all the characteristics I was not expecting.
