What if I forget the boarding pass at home?

My dad called me yesterday asking this question :) I told him, nothing really, you will print the boarding pass using your ID or credit card.

Now I am having second thoughts, he's 82 and doesn't need additional stress. What will happen?

Agree with your advice. Also tell him to have an agent help him if he needs it. Even the check-in kiosks have agents there or nearby.

Oh, I know he will go straight to the agent :) Thank you, DFR!

I forgot mine once, and from the agent's reaction, it's a very common situation.

Pretty common is right. Some people, me included, encounter situations where they can check in but don't have ready access to printer. Head straight for the kiosks.

I'm surprised at how many people I see waiting to check-in at the normal check-in counter these days. Not sure if they don't know they can just zip in to the self-service kiosks or if they truly have a situation where they need to wait in line.

Make sure he knows he can just go to the kiosks and get help there if needed - no need to wait in a long check-in line, especially if he's already checked in online from home as you imply.

Thank you all!

J62, most of people in those lines check their suitcases in.

Depends on the airline, some will charge you £40 to reprint a boaridng card

mrwunrfl May 22nd, 2009 11:07 AM

wow, for reprinting a bp? or was it for reprinting a paper ticket or converting e-ticket to paper?

Those Brits are strange human beings... :))
