I bought my Wenger at either TJ Maxx or Ross. It's quite roomy but not too tall so it fits under the seat in front of me. It's a computer case with wheels and I paid around $45 for it. Of course, stock is constantly changing at these stores, but if you keep looking you can probably find something that fits your needs.

poss:

Last year we replaced our carry on luggage.

I believe we got Delsey.

I searched the web for luggage and checked the specifications where weight was listed.

I found the lightest one available and then went to different luggage stores to have a look.

Delsey had expensive and also cheaper ones that appeared to be very similar, other than how long they were guaranteed for. Being now 77, I was not impressed by a 10 year guarantee.

No doubt the cheaper ones are of a lesser quality but I could not determine that. Since my luggage gets beat up regularly, I opted for the cheaper pair.

We went to Costa Rica and four of our excursions had a very low luggage limit so we checked our larger cases at our hotel and depended on our cheaper rolling carry ons. No problems.

Once I determined pretty much what I wanted, I found that the luggage stores could not compete with the larger department store in my area.

I got black [not much choice] and then painted a large [6 inch square] Initial on each side using white paint.

I do this on all our luggage to be able to easily spot them.

I then purchased "security" locks that can be opened by airport security. I lock all our luggage all the time when they are in the hotel room. Empty or full. If someone wants to search my cases, I do not want to tip them off as to which to try, being the locked one since an unlocked bag suggests nothing there to worry about.

Woodie
