wanted: 2 NWA ecerts

I was wondering if anyone had $100 off NWA coupons. My husband and I are traveling to Italy the beginning of April and want to do it as cheap as possible. THANKS!

Not ideally, that's why I posted on Fodor's since most people are all about helping others out. Plus I'm skeptical if they'll work on a "Promo Fare."

OK just wondering, I do think that the days of europe being cheap have long passed, but I wish you luck

Hi beckyg, I don't have any right now but if I were you I would sure make certain that NW is not going to be on strike before I purchased tickets with them unless you purchased tickets to fly on a KLM plane both ways.

Hopefully NW and their employees will come to an agreement but I sure don't feel overly confidant about that at this point.

If I were you i would stay off Northwest. it won't be a cheap trip if you get stuck...if they liquidate you will loose it all. Other airlines probably won't have the space to help you out, even assuming they were willing to.

When choosing the itinerary, I can choose the KLM flights. Also, when I spoke to the NW agent, she said they had to find me flights on other airlines if I purchased a ticket from NW - at no additional cost. Not true?

Yes, NW will get your on other airlines, but that's assuming you can get through to them. Even when not striking, trying to call NW's regular line often results in a message telling you to call again later. It's going to be a big hassle.

Hi beckyg, is there some reason you don't want to book on KLM planes?

On NWA website, I was able to fly into Rome and out of Venice in april for $569 - no other airlines came close to that fare.
