Very basic passport question & an AF PV q.
My mother, bless her heart, wanted me to buy her a ticket to Paris. I found a good fare/routing and so called her to get her passport #. She told me that her passport has expired. I need to wait until she gets a new passport before purchasing her ticket, right?
I can't recall ever having been in this situation myself. And semi-off-topic. I was going to put her in Premium Voyageur on AF. I'm just curious if those shell seats are somehow less comfortable than the regular Voyageur seats. The sliding-down rather than reclining makes me wonder. Thanks in advance for any insight. |
No, you do not need a passport or passport umber to purchase the ticket but your mother will need to show a current valid passport when she checks in for her flight.
Sorry, I can't answer your question about seats. |
I would much rather be in teh Premium Voyaguer seat than the normal economy seat on AF. The sliding down doesn't both me too much and I like the extra space and not having to worry about the passenger in front of me reclining into my face.

Thanks, RoamsAround and CathyM. When I'm playing travel agent for family members I worry excessively about mucking things up.

What a great son you are to help your mom speaks volumes.
She will need to renew her PP travel.state.gov for info on that. Have flown AF seatguru.com seatexpert.com for reviews and BA.com premium economy they were comfy and reclined more I could sleep better for me the flatter the better. they were worth it for me though sometimes. Bizclass deals on sites like cheapoair.com and open skies can be almost as cheap and way better so might shop around for a sales or a deal there also airawards.com Happy Travels! |
