US Airways Dividend Miles upgrades
 

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the following? Or what your opinion was?

I am flying in December from PHL to LAX to LAS to PHL. I was able to upgrade from coach to first class using dividend miles on the PHL to LAX leg, and the LAS to LAX leg is on an express flight. However, the LAS to PHL leg does not have any first class seats available. The person I spoke to said I could try back later to see if anyone cancelled.

In your opinion, is there any chance I will be able to get an upgrade for the return trip? Do you think someone will cancel? I actually need 2 seats, as there are 2 of us flying.

How soon, and how ofter, do you think I should try calling on this?

Thanks.Actually the 7.10am departure does in fact have upgrade availability as do the 2 red-eyes that night.Of the 2 other departures the best bet at ths point in time is the 11.30am with the 2.35pm looking grim.USAir as I am told bases their upgrade capacity on the previous years "demand" andthere is no silver bluuet to make it happen.Check every day if you like.Hope thi shelps.

Thanks BeachBoi. I will try again, but from what you say, it is looking unlikely. At least I was able to get the upgrade for one leg of the trip.
