United Economy Plus: foot rests:

Before I buy a folding foot rest, does anyone know whether United's Economy Plus has foot rests that pull out from the seat's base?

No, the only difference is that the rows are further apart.

No. I have been on about 70 flights per year on United in Economy + for the past few years and none of them have the footrests. For long flights I often have a plastic storage box in my backpack that fits under the seat and I pull it out just a bit and use it as a footrest. Works great. The boxes cost around $5 but most of the foot rests I've seen are much more. The plastic box also holds my camera equipment or other sensitive equipment to protect it a little better.

I have a folding foot rest -- and HATE it. It was expensive, is heavy and doesn't really stay put if I fall asleep. I find just using my squishy handbag or carry on works better.

That gives me some ideas--thanks. I just realized that a neckroll pillow would work fairly well, but I like the idea of the plastic box.
