It's so crazy that you guys are talking about two things. One is UA's E+, one is a true premium economy. $99 is not upgrading to a true premium economy product, and $1,500 is not upgrading to UA's E+.

madgicsh, does "Kangaroo route" mean Qantas? If so, then it is NOT and upgrade to Economy Plus. Is the $1500 for an upgrade from economy to premium economy OR from economy to business class OR from premium economy to biz class? Is that for one-way or roundtrip?
Geordie, when you wrote "Economy Plus its $4500", did you really meand for "Air France premium economy its $4500"?
If the difference between AF economy and premium economy is $2400 then the $1500 difference on Qantas sounds like a relateively good deal. That is, if we are talking about Qantas PE and it is comparable to AF PE (I assume they are comparable).
