United Airlines Theme
Help! Does anyone know the real name to the music of United Airlines theme song on their commercials?

Thanks!
Sure, the name of the song is you are a big fat idiot. Glad I could help.

I haven't really paid attention lately, but for years it was Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue." If I'm out-of-date, maybe someone can help.
I think it is "We Are United Airlines and We Don't Give A Rat's Ass About You". Sort of matches their service and on-time performance.
It is a theme that comes in the last part of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, made famous by Paul Whiteman's orchestra and pianist Oscar Levant in the 40s. United also uses a very strange version of it in the neon-surrounded moving walkway between terminals at O'Hare.

(Score: currently a tie: Helpful Fodorites 2 -- Gratuitously Nasty Flamers 2. Expect further postings from the NF team, however; they can't seem to help themselves. Just hope this answered your question "Help.")
I can't believe you actually researched (or worse yet, knew) the them to United Airlines!
Me -- what on earth is the problem with someone -- in this case, a musician -- being able to identify the theme? If I were on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" and they played that passage (which I played on the piano years before United took it as their theme), I would win a million in less than 2 seconds, since it's a very famous theme (or was)!
sorry, Paul. Didn't mean to offend you.
Was that your final answer?
Good for you, Paul, for knowing the answer. And you still have all three life lines!
I am jealous of anyone that can play the piano, I got stuck with 4 years of violin lessons, YUCK!
