Mrwunfrl- Actually, it was your post which made me call again.
After I saw that you said there were two seats available for upgrade, I checked online and I was still waitlisted. I figured it could not hurt to call, so I did. The agent asked how I was upgrading and I said "with miles which are already there." She put me on hold for so long I was sure she'd forgotten me. Came back after 10 min to say she was still checking the waitlist. Came back after another 10 to tell me I was confirmed! I'm almost positive I would not have been upgraded if I'd not called, so thank you for the heads up! :-) My itinerary is now showing confimed in Business, although I do not (and seemingly cannot) have a seat until I get to the airport tomorrow. |
Greetings from the Red Carpet room, LAX.
One thing I did not realize, if I had not been upgraded, I would not have been allowed in here, even with my business class ticket to DC. They only allow you in on an international Business or First ticket. I didn't get an aisle seat, but oh well. At least I got my upgrade. :-) |
I'm glad it all worked out. It certainly makes the departure less stressful to know before you leave for the airport. Have a great trip!
