Tunisair

Has anyone flown on this airline to Tunisia. Info please

Joel Dec 12th, 2001 03:49 PM

Yes, I flew Tunisair this past summer to Tunisia. They do not fly out of the US, only to Europe, Africa, and the middle east. I took a flight from Frankfurt to Monastir, and it was ok. I was kind of nervous, because there were so many middle-eastern people onboard, but everything was ok. The service was not the best, though. The flight attendants were less than friendly, and the meal was definitely less than desirable. And one of the most shocking things is that you are allowed to smoke in the back of the plane! All in all, I would say it reminds me of another budget airline, but I really didn't have an awful experience. I would fly with them again without giving it a second thought.
By the way, where did you hear of Tunisair? When I flew with them, I bought the ticket in Germany, and when I looked online for their safety record, it said that the US government had not rated them.

Thanks Joel for your reply. I couldn't e-mail u a reply as I have an email virus - hope you haven't caught it. I'm travelling in April with Tunisair from Glasgow to Tunis, a package holiday and the tour operator is using Tunisair

Have used Tunis Air several times, last time in October 2001.
Zurich to Tunis , Monastir and Djerba Island and back.
Usually on time, no problems at all. Food, well, it's the usual. Glad you get something in a way, but could do without it.

Joel:

Get life. What do you expect the demographics to be on a Tunisair flight...Japanese or good ol' USA?
I was simply trying to help her with her question. Here's an idea; get a life, instead of critisizing people for trying to be helpful!

Hi. Just wondering if Tunisair has still smoking and non-smoking section on plane. Any other airline is non smoking only.

Gauloises Feb 5th, 2002 04:53 AM

yes, they have both a smoking and non-smoking section. They assign seats at the airport, so get there early to get a smoking seat.
