tricky flight plan
 

Greetings all and hopefully there is someone on this forum with one eye, to help me the blind!

I need to get from Miami to Cairo, then Cairo to Tel Aviv and return to Miami from tel Aviv.

I am going out of my mind trying to get it done efficiently and minimising plane changes and layovers.

HELP pls.

Part of the solution - many airlines fly nonstop MIA-JFK, so that leg should be easy.

EgyptAir flies daily nonstop JFK-CAI - Egyptair does not show up on many flight search websites and only a few on-line travel agencies.

Can't help with the rest.

There are many options with just 1 connection each way:

Alitalia through Milan - both ways

British Airways through London - both ways

Iberia through Madrid - both ways

and finally a combination of different airlines, for example:

through New York and connect to EgyptAir - outbound
El Al Isreali Airlines flies a non-stop from Tel Aviv to Miami (I think?)

I missed the CAI-TLV part.

El-AL and Egypt Air used to fly this route about twice a week but I'm not sure they still do. And if they do you will always have to be prepared for last minute cancellations on this route due to (take your pick):
Palestinian question
Lebanon question
Middle East question
World question
etc.etc.

There is a very frequent bus service between the 2 cities so that maybe your best option.

If anyone does a direct flight from Miami to Israel / Egypt I'd take that and then have additional flights between Israel & Egypt

El Al flies nonstop from MIA to TLV 3 days a week, and TLV-CAI twice a week. I'm pretty certain there would be a 24hr plus layover if you went to TLV and then bought a RT ticket to CAI, but it would depend on travel dates I suppose.

It doesn't look like Egyptian AL serves TLV any more.

The idea of the coach sounds appealing, any clue on how it can be booked & have you travelled it, what is the service like etc/

There isn't A coach between Israel & Cairo but you can get a coach to the Eilat / Taba border crossing and then another one on the other side of the border

If crossing from Israel to Egypt you MUST already have a full Egyptian Visa in your passport as full visas aren't issued there.
