Transferring TBIT to Terminal 6 in LAX - lounge options?

Hi fellow travellers. Next week I will be flying in to LAX with Qantas and departing (4.35 hour layover) with AA to Vancouver.
It looks like the new Qantas lounge is in TBIT - can we go straight there and use lounge and then go on to Terminal 6 with an hour to go for example? Would like to have a shower etc and not sure if Alaskan has these facilities in Terminal 6 or if my Qantas Club will grant us access to there anyway?
Presumably we can just walk to Terminal 6 when ready?
Thanks for any assistance.

"When you arrive at a lounge, show your Qantas Club card along with your ticket or boarding pass. Don't forget your next onward flight must be with Qantas or Jetstar to access the lounge."

That means, to me, that you would not be able to use the QC on arrival at TBIT as your onward flight is not on Qantas or Jetstar.

You won't have access to any TBIT lounges as you'll be sent through US immigration and customs then you'll have to go "landside" for the walk to T6. (There's a bag re-check station after customs.)

I don't believe your Qantas club membership will get you access to Alaska's Boardroom lounge at T6, but it's worth checking. You can buy a day pass, or if you're traveling in a paid first class fare, or on a first class award (not an upgrade) you'll get access to the BR.

I don't know if there are showers; I suspect not, as Alaska (AS, by the way, not AA - that's American Airlines) doesn't have longhaul flights that would necessitate them.

Thank you. Yes, it appears that despite my membership I'm going to be high and dry
I have read about showers in the Delta lounge in Terminal 5 - could we buy a day pass to Delta and still access T 6 from there airside? If so, can that be done on the day?
Thank you.

The way immigration runs at TBIT you may not have hours to spend in a lounge anyway.

Re the delta lounge, isn't it airside? I'm not sure but I think it is. If so, you can't use it since you won't have a boarding pass for a T-5 flight.

lol janisj, I'm relying on Patty's comment above that there is an airside tunnel from T5-T6?

Seems like the tunnel is a bit of a celebrity in its own right! At least I will be prepared

We just walked that tunnel two days ago and I swear it seems to get longer. I hate when our Delta flights leave or return to Terminal 6 and we have to check in or get baggage at Terminal 5. LAX is our home airport and in my opinion it is one of the worst. There are so many other airports that have so much more to offer.

Just an addendum for future Qantas passengers interest .... we could access the Alaska Boardroom with Qantas Club (we were even 'welcomed' on the sign outside!) We had a brief sojourn there but ended up buying the Delta day pass for a shower which was well worth it
The tunnel wasn't too scary and easy to navigate! Thanks for the tips
