Got it! Thanks so much.

Is ther any reason we would need to create the household account and pool miles now? We will each have the 25,000 miles earned on our own cards in our separate accounts when the time comes to book. I thought we'd wait on the household account part until later. . . I'd like to get a feel for how the plan works first.

Hi to all!
I've a question because I've the opposite request made by Enzian's user: I live in Italy and I usually fly with BA... I would like to book a flight from YVR (Vancouver) to ANC using my BA miles, I've contacted via Phone BA and the girl that have answered say to me that is not possible :(
Somebody of you know how I can?
Best regards, and thanks in advance,
Marco

Ciao Marco---

Alaska Airlines flies that route---from Vancouver to Seattle, and then from Seattle to Anchorage. Alaska is a partner with British so maybe there is a way to sue British miles on this partner airline route? You might try calling British back and suggesting this route and Alaska Airlines.

I hope Gardyloo sees this because I'll bet he has some ideas how to do it.

Ciao Enzian!

Thanks so much for your answer... sure, maybe the person who answered me at the phone was not so experrienced on BA miles spending (but is only a my opinion) by the way I'll try because I'm serious interested in Alaska Airlines because I've seen on the route map that fly from bothm SEAttle & SFO to OGG (Maui) and I would like to go for the 2010 summer holiday :)

Yes, you should phone BA and recommend YVR-SEA-ANC using Alaska Airlines.

Same goes for any Hawaii destinations, although they may route you via SFO or LAX, using Alaska from Vancouver (or Seattle) to California, then American from there to Hawaii, since American will probably have greater availability (bigger planes, more flights) than the direct flights from Seattle, Vancouver or Anchorage.

Note that most summer 2010 bookings are not yet available, and won't be until 330 days before your flight dates.

Thanks so much Gardyloo! you're explanation is great! I'll call BA.

We have our seats! A huge THANK YOU everyone who helped, especially Julia1.

The award seats in business class actually showed up more than 330 days ahead---they are now (as of today) booking through July 10, 2010.

Congratulations and enjoy your trip.
BA's schedule does go out more than 330 days - most US carriers use the 330 day limit.
