The Top 100 Airlines

The top 100 airlines for 2016 is out. Virgin America went from 26 to 25 on the list--the top rated U.S. airline. Delta went up from 45 to 35 on the list. Jet Blue went from 50 to 53 on the list. Southwest went from 67 to 66. United went down from 60 to 68. American Airlines went from 79 to 77.

I realize that every airline has had an excellent flight and a bad flight, this information came from Skytrax.

Top airlines were Emirates, Qatar, Singapore, Cathay, ANA, Etihad, Turkish, EVA, Qantas and Lufthansa.

I flew Lufthansa's A380 from Miami to Frankfurt last month and was very happy in economy. The fasten seatbelt sign was on for only the first six minutes and last 25 minutes of the flight, the movies were good and the service was excellent. I had the beef dinner which was very filling and the drinks were generous. The credit card was only needed if you purchased duty free items. Breakfast in economy included eggs, potatoes, bread, cut up fruit and drinks.
