Maybe I was naive, I just never thought such an error would occur. I mean, you give them the book and they tear off a ticket. That should be so simple!!

But the attendants in Toronto (who finally believed me that I did not lose the ticket) said things like that happen all the time and maybe that is what happened to me.

Even after the incident was researched so that I could get my refund, they are not even 100% sure what the heck happened - but they are sure it was not my fault.

They are guessing that 2 tickets got pulled ... but they are not even sure.

It was a BIG MESS. That I know - and I will make SURE it NEVER happens again!!!

American Airlines recently changed the schedule for my flight into IAD, making my arrival over 2 hours later, and I was immediately offered a refund and the return of the frequent-flyer miles I'd used for an upgrade.

There is no paper ticket 'fee' if there is no interline eticket agreement. The 'fee' is for S&H. The onlines make a bit of extra $$ this way.
