SWA in-flight services

Does Southwest offer movies or radio/music on long flights?
Thanks in advance.

Nope

The simple answer is a big N-O. That's one of the best examples as to why Southwest flights are considered 'no-frills'.

However, IMHO we may start to see this sometime in the next few years, as WN begins to appeal, with more perks, to biz travelers.

Yeah, pretty much nothing. Bring an iPod, a laptop, or rent a DVD player at the airport. Fortunately, most Southwest flights aren't that long.

Nope - but some cabin crews do sing/tell jokes/entertain :)

I guess I'll add another "no" while I'm here.

Time to update the music on your iPod!

I've found the Southwest flight attendants very friendly and talkative. And they usually don't seem to mind if you stand up in the back of the plane, if you want to stretch out for example. I've had some fun conversations on such flights, sometimes standing for 20-30 minutes. They don't seem to mind, and it greatly helps pass the time.

I'll just have to tell DH to suck it up and be a big boy. He's going from Ohio to Nevada, but our usual jaunts are just from Ohio to either Florida or Louisiana and he's used to quick segments. LOTS of tunes, a couple books and some liquid refreshment and he should be just fine.

Thanks all!
